With fall in full swing we’ve been looking for ways to keep our skin looking as vibrant as possible. Masks take the lead in our monthly roundup of upgrades, with a digital device and a K-beauty formula delivering boosts from the inside out, while a made in Canada moisturizer and fresh AF body wash round out the finds that have brought a dose of joy to the shorter days of late. Our makeup bags haven’t been neglected, either. Read on to learn about the metallic eyeliner and liquid blush currently acting as finishing touches that satisfy the longing for a lil’ extra hit of prettiness.
My skin has been extra firm and glowy lately
and I believe this beauty device has been doing the heavy lifting. Designed to be a multitasker, this mask offers red and blue LED and infrared therapy to address fine lines and reduce acne, plus it’s outfitted with innovative cooling pads under the eyes that reach seriously chill temps for instant de-puffing. I also live for the ritual of it all. Whether I’m relaxing or habit stacking, slipping on this wireless mask for 6 mins has become my fave part of the day.
There’s been a K-Beauty surge recently,
and I for one am not mad about it. This deliciously scented sleeping mask is one of the newer skincare products I’ve tried that became an instant favourite. Packed with yuja citrus fruit, which is what gives the mask it’s fresh lemon-like scent, it’s formulated with melting capsules that contain vitamin C and niacinamide to provide a brightening boost while helping to even out my skin tone.
Liner on the lower lash line is kinda my thing, ok?
I abide by a swish of metallic pencil to give my gaze a bit more oomph, and, even though the effect is super subtle, I’ve been doing it for so long now my eyes just don’t feel ‘done’ without it. Not only does this bronze eye liner catch the light while delivering a soft shade with just enough contrast to enhance my peepers, it also has major staying power on an oily part of my face - which, trust me, can be hard to find in liners with any reflective quality.
I rarely fall hard for a body wash,
but this one’s different—it was love at first sniff. Part of the Geranium Leaf collection (FYI all of the products in the line are divine), this liquid soap blends its namesake foliage with mandarin and bergamot rinds for a scent that’s refreshing and addictive. It foams up beautifully and leaves my limbs feeling soft but not stripped. Lately post shower, I’ve been following it up with the body balm for a citrus-infused double whammy.
This face cream has been giving me exactly what I need
right now at our seasonal crossroad: a lightweight texture that deeply nourishes. From the brains behind of one of our top Toronto spa destinations (the Turkish-inspired Hammam Spa), the mix of glyercin, squalane, and niacinamide hydrates without feeling heavy. It also contains the signature Céla blend of six Canadian botanicals, which includes blueberry, elderberry, evening primrose, juniper berry, rosemary and lavender, for a dose of antioxidants.
sheer blushes are not my usual,
but this one has me reconsidering my stance. The texture and buildability of this formula are everything my dewy skin dreams are made of and it’s aptly named without looking overly shimmery or sparkly. The shade I keep reaching for is
✨Ice Gleam✨, a
soft peachy pink that works well layered on its own or with other more oomph colours for a more impactful cheek. It’s wildly blendable, making it one of the most versatile blushes in my arsenal.
